Beverly Hills-West Los Angeles Counseling and Consultation: Communication glitches or roadblocks getting in your way lately? Feeling increasingly isolated and lonely? Successful at work, but struggling to create satisfying relationships? Perhaps you too often find yourself listening to your colleagues, friends, family and solving their problems, but have difficulty asking for help when you're feeling down? Maybe you end up angry and in unintended arguments because you don't feel heard? The guidelines for professional advancement and interactions are usually pretty clear. Personal relationships, however, are messy and the "rules" for effective communication aren't quite as easy to figure out!
As life gets more complicated, good relationships can be hard to maintain. Many successful people discover that they don't know how to communicate and get their needs met outside of the office. The old ways no longer work and the "why" of this struggle can be difficult to understand.
If you feel that no one really understands, you are feeling stuck, and you just don't know what to do, you don't have to struggle alone. Therapy gives you the opportunity to discover your personal power to improve your relationships - both personal and professional. In a safe, confidential environment, you can explore and resolve old/unfinished issues that keep you stuck and learn how to re-establish communication with family or friends.

I have extensive experience helping men, women, adolescents, and families get past the roadblocks to good communication. I will work with you to develop your personal "toolkit" of communication and coping strategies to use when you just don't know what to do or say.

I have a special interest in helping people communicate effectively and without conflict, both professionally and personally. My emphasis is on helping men, women, and teens resolve communication concerns. In addition, I help individuals reconnect with (or at least understand!) adult family members. I offer counseling and consultation to parents and school personnel so that they can find more effective ways to communicate with each other to help children succeed. I also work with older adolescents on issues of transition and family/school interaction.
